Key Responsibilities As a Project Engineer Electrical Engineering , you will play a vital role in the delivery of high-voltage infrastructure projects, supporting the site and technical managers on complex construction sites valued up to €50 million. You’ll ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of all electrical installations and guide subcontractors through every stage of the project—from engineering to execution and handover. Our projects typically involve the construction of high-voltage substations (110 kV and above) , including civil works such as drainage systems, transformer foundations, site works, and buildings (both prefab and in-situ). You will also conduct quality inspections in concrete production facilities and ensure adherence to the highest technical and safety standards. Support site managers and technical managers across multiple high-voltage project sites. Monitor and ensure the quality of electrical installations, testing, and commissioning (switchgear, transformers, protection & control systems). Coordinate and guide electrical subcontractors , intervening when deviations from plans or safety standards arise. Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle — from design, specification, and installation to energization and handover. Collaborate closely with project leaders , protection & control engineers , and process managers to align technical solutions with scheduling and safety goals. Perform quality inspections in production facilities, especially related to concrete structures and equipment housing. Guarantee on-site implementation meets design expectations and regulatory requirements. What You Bring A Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2 years of relevant experience in high-voltage projects or engineering environments. A solution-oriented mindset , with the ability to act quickly and effectively in the field. Familiarity with engineering firms or contractors is a plus. Willingness to travel regularly across Brabant and Limburg . A proactive attitude — you don’t believe in the 9-to-5 mentality. Strong communication and coordination skills , with a service- and team-oriented mindset. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability , and eagerness to grow professionally.
