Aviation Security Manager, BR Operations - Transportation, Amazon Logistics and Sort Centers

The Amazon Aviation Security (AvSec) team is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-obsessed AvSec Security Specialist to support and oversee x-ray screening operations in Brazil. This is a new initiative aimed at securing the air cargo supply chain on passenger aircraft. We have two roles: one in Contagem, Minas Gerais, and another in Rio de Janeiro. Responsibilities include supporting the Regional AvSec Manager and ensuring compliance with corporate policies, federal regulations, and standardized processes. The AvSec Manager conducts ongoing risk assessments and develops mitigation strategies to sustain current and future business operations. This is a new and evolving business operation. We seek someone who can introduce best practices and act decisively as we scale these efforts. Key job responsibilities Manage ambiguity through knowledge and experience, allocating resources to meet daily goals. Manage processes, vendor x-ray screening operators, and ensure the security of the supply chain for external air fulfillment. Assist in developing the workforce to meet long-term process targets. Support a team of third-party vendors. Verify compliance with security procedures, regulatory standards, physical security design standards, and policies; utilize Security Management Systems (SeMS) for risk mitigation. Develop and evaluate security standards by establishing workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms, ensuring customer outcomes are data-driven, measured, and validated. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in security or related field. Experience with Microsoft Office applications. Advanced English skills, both written and oral. Experience in a customer service environment. Experience conducting workplace risk investigations. Experience in corporate security management, transportation/supply chain security, or AvSec.
