The immigration specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the immigration and relocation processes for international employees within the mobility team. They ensure compliance with immigration laws, provide guidance to individuals, and contribute to a smooth transition for employees. Immigration and Visa Processing: The immigration expert is responsible for managing the immigration process for foreign local non-EU hires and secondments. This includes assisting with visa applications, work permits, residence permits, and other necessary documentation. An Immigration Expert must stay updated on the latest immigration regulations and ensure compliance with local laws which changing frequently. Compliance and Regulations: The immigration expert keeps track of relevant immigration laws, policies, and regulations. They ensure that the company and its employees adhere to all legal requirements, such as maintaining accurate records, submitting applications, providing evidence of payments and employment and renewing permits as needed. Consultation and Advice: They provide advice and consultation to employees and their families on immigration-related matters. This involves guiding individuals through the process, explaining requirements, and assisting with any challenges or concerns that arise. They may offer information on visa options, eligibility criteria, and required documentation. Relationship Management: They establish and maintain relationships with relevant government agencies, immigration authorities, and external service providers. This ensures effective communication, timely processing of applications, and access to up-to-date information on immigration procedures and policies SKILL SET 0-3 years of previous corporate job experience Aptitude for customer service Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal English and German in order to support customers from various countries and time zones. Willingness to experiment, improve and adapt to change Ability to identify what is imperative to act promptly, decisively and without delay. Intellectually curious and have a thirst for continuous learning.
