Credit Controller

Job & Company Descriptions A global leader in optical technology and innovation is currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join their Finance team. This is a critical role responsible for managing customer accounts, minimizing credit risk, and ensuring healthy cash flow for the business. As the Credit Controller you will responsible for the following: Manage customer credit accounts and monitor outstanding debts Proactively follow up on overdue invoices via phone and email Assess credit applications and set credit limits in line with company policy Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve account queries Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment arrangements Prepare aged debt reports and support month-end closing activities Recommend accounts for escalation or legal action when necessary Job Experience and Skills Required: Proven experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role Strong communication and negotiation skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) Knowledge of financial regulations and credit risk principles
