Job Description

Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a relevant tertiary qualification Minimum 5 years marketing experience, preferably in the food industry with a focus on meat, poultry, or fresh produce categories Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making capabilities. Genuine passion for understanding consumer needs, particularly regarding food quality, origin, and transparency In-depth knowledge of marketing mix tools and food-specific research methodologies Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver creative campaigns Proficient in digital and offline marketing tools; experience with packaging and labelling regulations is an advantage Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft persuasive messaging for diverse audiences Prior experience in a brand-driven food company or agribusiness environment is preferred Fluency in English; proficiency in French and Swahili is highly desirable The successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing and implementing strategies to differentiate the companys meat products in competitive markets. Creating and executing above-the-line (ATL) and below-the-line (BTL) marketing campaigns across retail, wholesale, and food service channels. Identifying growth opportunities through in-depth consumer research and category analysis. Overseeing the creation and execution of advertising strategies, managing the full lifecycle of creative production for both consumer and trade audiences. Conducting research on shopper behaviour, consumption trends, and competitive benchmarks in the meat sector. Planning and implementing trade marketing activities to enhance product visibility and rotation in stores and butchery counters. Collaborating closely with production, sales, and distribution teams to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints. Supporting broader marketing strategies and contributing to continuous improvements in brand performance.
