Job Description
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering consistently high levels of guest experience. This is a live-in role requiring strong operational oversight, excellent communication abilities, and a solutions-driven mindset. Candidate Responsibilities: Oversee all lodge departments including Front of House, Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B, and Guest Relations Manage the daily operation of the lodge to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery Maintain the highest standards of guest experience across all touchpoints Train, develop, and motivate a multicultural team to consistently perform to high standards Handle stock and inventory control, procurement, and monthly reporting Assist with budgeting and cost control, and ensure financial targets and KPIs are met Ensure property maintenance and infrastructure upkeep are carried out proactively Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards in accordance with company and legal requirements Coordinate and manage all lodge hosting responsibilities and guest interaction Candidate Requirements: Minimum 35 years of experience in lodge or hospitality management (preferably in a Big 5 reserve) Strong leadership and team management skills Experience in guest service delivery and conflict resolution Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, reporting, and stock control Solid computer literacy including MS Office; knowledge of property/lodge management systems an advantage Must be highly organized, hands-on, and adaptable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Valid driver's license (Code B or higher) This is a live-in position.
