We are looking for a sharp and well experienced buyer to join our team. General Description: Manage the procurement function of JO site to support optimal performance of all operations without interruption of production. Strategic sourcing of raw material for a balanced cost advantage. Purchasing & Strategic Sourcing: Ø Ensure raw material and packaging are purchased OTIF for production for JO Ø Negotiate raw material and packaging prices local and import Ø Monitoring, control and minimizing of inbound Raw Material and packaging costs. Ø Process orders for Jhb import RMs Ø Management of Raw Material and packaging stock levels to ensure that working Capital is controlled at levels as dictated by the business Ø Ensure that, the advantage to be gained by using their purchasing power is always maximized Ø Explore alternate raw material / stock substitutes, packaging and suppliers Ø Obtain and tie in supplier contracts and agreements Ø Define and improve payment terms with suppliers Ø Implement and maintain preferred and alternate suppliers list and prices Ø Evaluate and audit suppliers on a regular basis and document and act on findings Ø Monitor invoice accuracy to GRNs Ø Produce reports as and when required Ø Take full responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all site wide stock takes outside of normal hours Education and Experience: Ø 5 years experience in purchasing/production environment Ø Diploma in procurement/inventory control Ø Qualification / experience in logistics Ø Computer proficiency - advanced Language Skills: Ø English mandatory
