BI Analyst

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics using Power BI , Power Query , and DAX to monitor operational and financial performance. Utilise Microsoft Fabric to integrate and manage data pipelines, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and fit for purpose. Perform in-depth data analysis with Python to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvements. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources using Microsoft SQL to support reporting and analysis requirements. Provide insights into stock utilisation and turnover to help reduce excess inventory and free up working capital. Partner with finance and operations teams to analyse cash flow patterns and recommend data-driven actions to improve liquidity. Proactively identify areas where data can drive profitability and operational efficiency. Support ad hoc data analysis requests and deliver clear, concise recommendations to stakeholders. Technical Skills & Experience Essential: Proven experience as a BI Analyst or similar data-focused role within manufacturing or a related industry. Advanced proficiency in: Microsoft Fabric Microsoft SQL Power BI Power Query DAX Python (specifically for data analysis and manipulation) Strong data manipulation skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to spot patterns and anomalies. Experience designing and delivering reporting solutions that drive business improvements. Desirable: Familiarity with inventory management and financial data in manufacturing environments. Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics). Key Attributes Highly analytical with the ability to translate complex datasets into clear business insights.
