Start Date : ASAP. Shift : 4x10-hour days, specific hours not provided (typically 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; confirm with facility). Length : 13 weeks. Experience Required : Minimum experience in Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cath Lab. Scrub experience required. Certifications Required : Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Basic Life Support (BLS). Active Washington RN license (valid at submission; pending licenses not accepted). Floating : Yes, as needed due to census, to units within scope (e.g., general OR, PACU; confirm with facility). Call Requirements : Yes, 1 weekend per month. Weekend Requirements : Only for on-call duties (no scheduled weekend shifts). Requested Time Off (RTO) : All RTO must be included at time of submittal; confirm restrictions with hiring manager. Unit Information : Daily Caseload : 12–20 cases. Staff : 9 interventional cardiologists. Case Types : Diagnostic, emergency, and planned interventional cardiac procedures. Complex cases: Completes, Impella, Balloon Pump, Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO), Atherectomy, Structural Heart (TAVR, Watchman), Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) closure, CardioMEMS, EKOS, loop recorders, occasional pacemakers. Skills Required : Scrub, circulate, and monitor in Cath Lab procedures. Manage intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), Impella devices, and EKOS catheters. Administer and monitor conscious sedation (e.g., midazolam, fentanyl). Post-procedure care, including sheath removal and TR Band management. Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and emergency response (e.g., Code STEMI). Familiarity with structural heart procedures (e.g., TAVR, Watchman) and device implantation. Patient Population : Adults with cardiovascular conditions requiring diagnostic or interventional procedures. Unit Systems : Documentation : Epic (hard stop requirement). Medication : Pyxis (standard in similar facilities; confirm with hospital). Communication : SBAR for handoffs and team coordination. Scrub Color : Any color (no reddish orange permitted). Guaranteed Hours : Not specified; typically 40 hours for 4x10 shifts. Facility may call off up to 1 shift per two-week pay period without compensation, per standard travel contract terms. Holiday Expectations : Not specified; confirm with facility.
