Job Description Job Description Duration: Mid-April to July (4-month internship) The IT Support Specialist Internship offers hands-on experience in providing responsive and high-quality IT services within the "Regional Service Hub." As an intern, you will play an essential role in performing initial troubleshooting and resolving basic IT issues, providing valuable support to our team and users in the region. You will also gain insight into various aspects of IT support, including desktop and network support, troubleshooting, and end-user assistance. The internship is designed to give you exposure to technical areas and allow you to work alongside seasoned IT professionals. You will support end-user tasks and activities, helping maintain consistent high levels of user satisfaction while adhering to regional IT support standards, procedures, and processes. Here’s what you’ll do: Assist in configuring, installing, and maintaining desktop environments. Provide troubleshooting and first-level break-fix support for Windows-based systems. Assist in troubleshooting local networking issues and escalate as needed. Help maintain service request KPIs and escalate issues when necessary. Monitor active issues and communicate updates with end users. Support the configuration and troubleshooting of iOS devices and MDM for users. Help install, configure, and maintain peripherals as needed. Provide remote end-user support for all ZEISS business groups across the US and Canada region. Do you qualify? Currently enrolled in a college degree program, with technical training or certifications desired. A passion for IT support and customer service. Experience in hardware fixes and upgrades on desktop and laptop devices (internship or coursework experience is acceptable). Knowledge of Windows 10, 11 Operating systems, MS Office 365, MS Teams, and Apple iOS. Basic understanding of troubleshooting local network environments. Familiarity with Microsoft concepts such as DHCP, DNS is a plus. Experience with ServiceNow and TeamViewer is beneficial. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential. Ability to provide both in-person and remote end-user support.
