Quantity Surveyor Location: North East Job Type: Permanent Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per annum Car Allowance/ Bonus The Opportunity A well-established construction company is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This permanent role involves supporting the commercial management of projects across various sectors. Reporting directly to senior management, the successful candidate will contribute to all commercial aspects from project initiation through to completion. Role Responsibilities Assist in managing commercial activities on construction projects Support preparation and control of budgets, procurement, valuations, and reporting Liaise with stakeholders at multiple levels Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements Promote best practices and continuous improvement Collaborate with and support junior team members Candidate Requirements Minimum 4 years’ experience with a construction-related degree OR Minimum 7 years’ experience without a formal qualification Demonstrated experience in quantity surveying across commercial, retail, heritage, or education sectors preferred Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle Willingness to travel regionally, with occasional national travel Benefits 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Additional leave for birthday Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme Profit Share Scheme Death in Service Benefit Cycle to Work Scheme Fully funded training in technical, managerial, and health & safety areas Regular staff engagement events and recognition programs Company Culture The employer fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability, encouraging professional development in a supportive environment.
