Data Governance Engineer

Social network you want to login/join with: You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the entire data lifecycle. This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap, actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions related to: Data Governance & Management policies as code Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation Effective and efficient Metadata Management & Data Catalogue Automation of Data Policies and Procedures Automation of Data Security processes and controls Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will: Design and implement automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detect bad practices, and prevent data quality issues across different data layers and phases of the data lifecycle Design and implement automatic Data Management policies , procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse Design and implement automatic Data Quality validation, metrics, and controls Design and implement automatic Data Observability alerts and workflows Coordinate with Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design the optimal data architecture & infrastructure for governed, high-quality data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL, Python, and AWS big data technologies Build and/or deploy Data Governance tools to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists in developing innovative products Skills Education: Master's Degree in BI & Data Analytics, Big Data Experience: Advanced Python knowledge (libraries, packages) and experience with various databases for enterprise applications and ML Advanced SQL knowledge, working with relational databases, query writing, and familiarity with various database systems Data Security management (encryption, masking, GDPR, PCI, secrets, SSO, MFA) Experience performing root cause analysis on data and processes to improve business questions and opportunities Experience in Data systems automation and administration Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured datasets Technical Skills: Cloud Data Warehouse Platforms: Snowflake (preferred) or similar Programming: SQL, Python, RestAPI Data Ingestion / ETL tools: Airflow, Snowpipe, or similar Data Transformation: dbt or similar Data management & governance platforms: Collate/Open Metadata, Collibra, Infosphere, Montecarlo, Informatica or similar Cloud Data Visualization: Tableau (preferred) or similar Version control: Bitbucket, Gitlab, Github Documentation: Atlassian Confluence or similar Soft Skills: Project Management: Agile, Scrum, Kanban End-to-end process orientation Strategic Thinking Data literacy and fostering a data-driven culture Day-to-day activities: Govern and manage the HBX Data Platform Stack, including security, user roles, permissions, and policies Design and implement automated data governance policies and preventive controls Implement detective controls and alerts across tools and processes Ensure data platform connectivity via API for governance and consistency Develop data security policies, roles, permissions, and controls to comply with regulations like GDPR Support data lifecycle management, including upgrades, decommissioning, and archiving, in line with data retention policies J-18808-Ljbffr
