Data Governance Engineer

Social network you want to login/join with: You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the entire data lifecycle. This role is a key contributor to delivering and executing the Data Governance Roadmap and involves creating company data quality foundations by developing and implementing technical solutions such as: Data Governance & Management policies as code Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation Effective Metadata Management & Data Catalogue Automation of Data Policies and Procedures Automation of Data Security processes and controls Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will: Design and implement automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detect bad practices, and prevent data quality issues across data layers and lifecycle phases Design and implement automatic Data Management policies , procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse Design and implement automatic Data Quality controls , validation, and metrics Design and implement automatic Data Observability alerts & workflows Coordinate with Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design the optimal data architecture & infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading, using SQL, Python, and AWS technologies Develop and deploy Data Governance tools to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists in building innovative products Skills: Education: Master's Degree in BI & Data Analytics, Big Data Experience: Advanced Python knowledge and experience with databases for enterprise applications and ML Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases Data Security management (encryption, masking, GDPR, PCI, secrets, SSO, MFA) Experience in root cause analysis and process improvement Experience in Data systems automation and administration Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured data Technical Skills: Cloud Data Warehouse Platforms: Snowflake or similar Programming: SQL, Python, RestAPI ETL tools: Airflow, Snowpipe or similar Data Transformation: dbt or similar Data management & Governance platforms: Collate, Collibra, Infosphere, Montecarlo, Informatica Visualization Tools: Tableau or similar Version Control: Bitbucket, Gitlab, Github Documentation: Atlassian Confluence or similar Soft Skills: Project Management: Agile, Scrum, Kanban End-to-end process understanding Strategic thinking Data literacy and promoting data-driven culture Day-to-day activities: Govern and manage HBX Data Platform Stack, including security, user management, roles, permissions, and policies Design and implement automated data governance policies and controls Implement detective controls and alerts across tools and processes Ensure data platform connectivity via API for governance and consistency Implement data security policies to ensure compliance with regulations like GDPR Support full data lifecycle management in line with data retention policies J-18808-Ljbffr
