Data Governance Engineer

Social network you want to login/join with: You will be responsible for scaling, automation, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the data lifecycle. This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions such as: Data Governance & Management policies as code Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation Effective Metadata Management & Data Catalogue Automation of Data Policies and Procedures Automation of Data Security processes and controls Responsibilities: Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for: Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across all data layers and phases of the data lifecycle Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies , procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality validation, metrics, and controls Designing and implementing automatic Data Observability alerts and workflows Collaborating with the Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design the optimal data architecture & infrastructure for governed, high-quality data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL, Python, and AWS technologies Building and deploying Data Governance tools to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists in developing innovative products Skills: Education: Master's Degree in BI & Data Analytics, Big Data Experience: Advanced Python skills and experience with databases for enterprise applications and ML Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases Data Security management (encryption, masking, GDPR, PCI, secrets, SSO, MFA) Root cause analysis on data and processes to improve business operations Automation and administration of Data systems Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured data Technical Skills: Cloud Data Warehouse Platforms: Snowflake or similar Programming: SQL, Python, RestAPI ETL Tools: Airflow, Snowpipe or similar Data Transformation: dbt or similar Data Management & Governance platforms: Collate, Collibra, Infosphere, Montecarlo, Informatica Data Visualization: Tableau or similar Version Control: Bitbucket, Gitlab, Github Documentation: Atlassian Confluence or similar Soft Skills: Project Management: Agile, Scrum, Kanban Process-oriented, strategic thinking, data literacy, and promoting a data-driven culture Day-to-day Activities: Governance and management of HBX Data Platform Stack, including security and policies Design and implement automated data governance policies and controls Develop detective controls and alerts across tools and processes Ensure data platform component connectivity and governance via API Implement data security policies compliant with regulations like GDPR Manage the full data lifecycle in accordance with data retention policies J-18808-Ljbffr
