Job Title: Perioperative RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room, Perioperative, Circulate Duration: Full-time Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 0 years License: Current, unencumbered RN licensure in Utah or compact state Certifications: Current BLS certification; current ACLS certification or ability to obtain within three months of hire Must-Have: Available to take on average 7-9 days of call per month with a 20 minute response time to the hospital. Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques. Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions. A great team player with excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening. Cool tempered with emotional and physical stamina. Ability to respond effectively in stressful situations with changing circumstances. Description: Join our Surgical Team as a Perioperative RN. You play an essential role in the provision of care to patients before, during, and after operations and procedures. You must be efficient with a high level of attention to detail and be passionate about patient safety. The ideal candidate must possess a comprehensive range of general nursing skills. You should be able to adapt and learn new skills without hesitation. Due to the rural location, this position will require quick and accurate responses in a variety of situations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their nursing skills. This position includes rotating on-call responsibilities, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of surgical operation procedures is a bonus. Prior experience in pre-op and/or PACU is preferred. You should be skilled in Pre-op, PACU, and Circulating all General, Ortho, & O.B. cases. You may need to assist in TRAUMA cases in the E.R. Be confident in caring for surgical patients during emergency call cases, potentially as the only O.R. nurse in-house overnight.
