Travel Nurse RN - PCU - $1,981 per week in Roanoke, VA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Experience with cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients and equipment in a progressive care unit is required. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required. Must-Have: Candidates must be willing to float within their acuity level and work at least 1 holiday per assignment. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Progressive Care Unit specializing in the care of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients. The focus is on caring for cardiothoracic postoperative patients. The nurse will be part of a 24-bed unit. The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts per week. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5, with a goal of 1:4. All travelers are expected to float as needed. Travelers must work two out of the three major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Compliance documents are due prior to the start date. Travelers must not have worked in the facility for the previous 365 days. Previous employees must be gone for a minimum of one year before returning. Travelers may complete orientation modules prior to or during the first week of work. Modules must be completed within the first 24 hours and can be recorded for payment upon completion approval.
