Catering Supervisor

I am looking for catering supervisor to work in London School of Economics. The right candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a catering service, ensuring the smooth delivery of food and beverages, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety, and managing staff. This role involves a combination of hands-on food service, team leadership, and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities: Service Delivery: Ensuring that food and beverages are prepared, presented, and served to a high standard, meeting customer requirements and dietary needs. Team Management: Supervising catering staff, delegating tasks, providing training, and ensuring they adhere to hygiene and safety standards. Operational Management: Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized work environment. Customer Service: Addressing customer inquiries, handling complaints and compliments, and promoting a positive and customer-focused atmosphere. Compliance: Ensuring all activities comply with food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies. Financial Responsibility: May be involved in tasks such as reconciling invoices, managing petty cash, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. Specific Tasks: Preparing and serving food and beverages, including setting up for events and meetings. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, dining areas, and storage areas. Ensuring proper food storage and rotation practices to minimize waste. Monitoring food quality, portion sizes, and presentation. Assisting with the setup and breakdown of events. Training new staff members on food preparation, service, and safety procedures. Reporting any maintenance or equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
