Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Azure Data Engineer/Data Architect. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing data engineering processes, data modeling, ETL pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and conducting data analytics. The professional is expected to lead and oversee complex data projects, ensure data quality, and optimize data architecture to support business needs. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and optimize scalable data architectures on Azure, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics solutions. Lead end-to-end data migration and integration projects, ensuring high data quality and security. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and data models. Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in Azure environments. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the data engineering team. Evaluate and recommend new Azure tools and technologies to enhance data infrastructure. Requirements Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or data architecture, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database. Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data pipeline orchestration. Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, or Scala. Experience with big data technologies and real-time data processing. Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
