Job Title: Civil Project Purchase Executive Experience: 2 to 5 Years Location: Trichy Qualification : Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering Department: Purchase / Procurement Industry: Construction / Infrastructure / Civil Projects Key Responsibilities: Source, negotiate, and procure civil construction materials (cement, steel, aggregates, bricks, tiles, etc.) in line with project requirements. Liaise with site engineers and project managers to understand material specifications, timelines, and budgets. Maintain vendor relationships and develop new suppliers for cost-effective and timely procurement. Issue purchase orders and track delivery schedules to ensure timely supply at project sites. Evaluate vendor quotations and purchase terms, ensuring compliance with quality and technical specifications. Ensure cost control and budget adherence during the procurement process. Coordinate with accounts and logistics for timely billing and delivery follow-ups. Prepare and maintain records of purchases, pricing, and inventory. Assist in vendor audits and evaluation processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, and statutory norms. Skills & Competencies: Knowledge of civil construction materials and technical specifications. Understanding of procurement lifecycle in construction projects. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Familiarity with ERP or procurement software (SAP/Tally/MS Excel). Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Preferred Candidate Profile: 2–5 years of relevant experience in purchase/procurement in civil infrastructure or construction companies. Civil engineering background is mandatory. Willingness to travel to project sites or supplier locations if required.
