Electrical Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer to manage and maintain electrical systems at our Steel Recycling Plant. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Electrical Supervisor License and will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all electrical infrastructure within the plant. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with all statutory electrical safety regulations and maintain liaison with Chief Electrical Inspector’s office. Supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of plant electrical systems, control panels, motors, transformers, and switchgear. Troubleshoot electrical faults, breakdowns, and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Ensure continuous power supply and manage plant electrical load distribution efficiently. Maintain documentation for inspections, test reports, maintenance logs, and statutory compliance. Lead and mentor a team of electricians and technical support staff. Co-ordinate with OEMs and external contractors for repair, servicing, or upgradation work. Conduct periodic safety audits and risk assessments for all electrical installations. Manage electrical inventory and initiate procurement for required spares or equipment. Assist in energy management, reduction in electrical consumption, and improvement of overall system reliability. Required Skills and Qualifications: B.E. / B. Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute. Valid Electrical Supervisor License authorized by the Chief Electrical Inspector (Mandatory). Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing setup, preferably in metal recycling or ferrous processing plants. Proficiency in handling HT/LT panels, PLC systems, drives, VFDs, and automation systems. Strong understanding of electrical safety codes, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis. Good communication, team leadership, and analytical skills. Willingness to work in shifts and handle on-call emergency support.
