Technical Director

Key Responsibilities: Strategic & Technical Leadership Provide strategic direction across key areas including Application & Data Modernization, AI (including Generative AI), and BI technologies. Define and develop new service offerings aligned with emerging technologies and market demands. Lead high-performing teams to deliver enterprise-grade software products using modern tech stacks: Java, Spring, Python, Flutter, Angular, React, Vue, microservices, Kafka, Azure, AWS, and GCP. Practice Management Scale and manage application development and data engineering practices across geographies. Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code through adherence to development standards and best practices. Identify and evaluate emerging technology trends and their potential business impact. People Leadership Mentor and coach cross-functional teams; support ongoing learning, upskilling, and leadership development. Lead recruitment efforts and hire top talent to build robust engineering and data teams. Foster a high-performance, inclusive culture grounded in collaboration and innovation. Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning for team members. Client Engagement & Delivery Excellence Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader to clients, including senior executives, on digital transformation initiatives. Drive consultative conversations and engage in architecture and design discussions. Serve as an escalation point for complex delivery challenges and technical issues. Process Optimization Champion process improvements and adherence to quality, compliance, and security standards. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and delivery outcomes. Required Skills & Qualifications: 15 years of progressive experience in IT with proven leadership in application development and data engineering. Strong background in Java-based development, microservices architecture, and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue). Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and asynchronous programming techniques. Experience in data engineering: ETL pipelines, data warehouse modernization, big data solutions, and database design. Solid understanding of OOP, OOD, SOLID principles, design patterns, and modern development practices. Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines. Exposure to Agile methodologies and consulting environments (preferred). Proven experience managing and mentoring large, distributed teams. Strong presentation, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Prior experience engaging directly with Director-level and above clients.
