Assistant Manager

We are looking to hire an Assistant Manager to work with our manager at this real ale focused community style public house located in the semi-rural town of Hadleigh, Suffolk. We do not sell food. Applications are invited from an experienced hospitality individual or couple and live-in is an option if required. The Cock Inn is a 16th Century Inn located an hour from London. With 4 dart teams, 2 bar billiard teams, pool, quiz, open mic and busker nights it's the hub of the community. We screen live sports and stage live music at times. The role involves running the pub during the managers absence and importantly cellar management. (As we focus on real ale you must be able to carry out heavy lifting as we rack 9g firkins in a compact cellar where the aid of machinery is not possible). You may be a supervisor at the moment or an experienced team member ready to step up to the next challenge. Our manager is willing and able to train a suitable candidate in some areas of the business if we think you've got what it takes. We have a great team of part time bar staff and the customers are terrific. You need to be energetic, committed and able to smile lots. AMRT1_UKCT
