Job Description Job Description Overview: We’re seeking a seasoned Routing and Switching / Telecom Engineer to lead the architecture, integration, and optimization of our enterprise voice, data, and video network systems. This critical role will drive secure, reliable, and scalable network solutions that support both internal innovation and customer satisfaction. Architect and implement next-gen network solutions (Voice, Data, Video) Provide high-level support for complex routing, switching, and telecom infrastructure 2. Act as technical lead for carrier-grade and enterprise services Work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, NOC, and Field Ops to deploy reliable solutions 3. Integrate new products with back-office systems and legacy infrastructure Participate in RFPs, create cost-effective designs, and respond to ICB configurations 4. Oversee and execute planned maintenance, ensuring minimal customer impact 5. Provide mentorship, documentation, and technical training as needed Technical Environment: 1. Routing/Switching: Cisco, Juniper, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, Carrier Ethernet Voice/VoIP: Metaswitch preferred; SIP, TDM, Unified Comms 2. Fiber/Access: FTTH (PON, XGS-PON), DWDM, ADSL/VDSL/g.FAST 3. Video Systems: VOD, QAMs, multicast, SDV, conditional access 4. IP & Transport: 1/10/100/500G, LAN/WAN, IP/MPLS backbones 5. OS & Tools: UNIX, Linux, Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, Access 6. Project Management: Strong documentation, presentation, and cross-team coordination Requirements: 5 years in network engineering or telecom, with a focus on routing, switching, or systems integration Deep understanding of carrier and enterprise networking Ability to manage complex, high-impact projects across multiple technologies Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences Familiarity with regulatory compliance, SLAs, and service design Bonus Points: Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, MEF-CECP Experience with video content distribution systems Knowledge of fiber and copper distribution networks Familiarity with product lifecycle development in a telecom environment Why Join this Client?
