Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg - $2,039 per week in Columbus, OH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience required License: Valid compact or state license required Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: - Oncology experience preferred but not required - Must be flexible with schedule - Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity - Previous travel experience preferred - EPIC experience required Description: The unit provides care for patients with continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration. Patients also receive diagnostic services, chemotherapy, and symptom management. The focus includes the management of comorbidities, infection prevention protocols, and patient falls. Special equipment utilized includes B450 monitors, telemetry systems, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds. Key skills needed for this role include interpretation of dysrhythmias, accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care. The nurse will assist with chest tube insertion/removal and manage high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) while being capable of interpreting ABGs.
