TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PICU RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68105! Pay Information $3,208 per week About The Position Job Title: Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, PALS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic charting experience required; first-time travelers not accepted unless they have 3 years of experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center - PICU Description: Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse needed for a mixed-acuity unit. Ratios are 1:2 for PICU, 1:3 for PCU, and 1:4 for Acute. RNs are expected to work across the acuity spectrum. The unit consists of 24 beds. May be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts. Weekend shift requirements include three weekend shifts per four-week schedule period. If the contract extends over summer holidays, one holiday must be worked. Travelers may be required to float to adult care areas but only to perform tasks and rover duties. A task nurse performs to the degree they are comfortable, focusing on simple tasks like bathing, assisting with turns, and assisting with vital signs. Registered Nurses will not take assignments on adult units. All candidates must be 100% nicotine-free. Scrubs are mandatory; RNs wear specific color scrubs with the organization's logo. The facility provides scrubs and sells gray T-shirts that can be worn in their company store. Vaccination against COVID-19 is required with exceptions for medical and religious reasons. The flu vaccine is not required. Travelers must go into labs within 48-72 hours from accepting the offer.
