Are you a Sous Chef looking for more sociable hours? We are looking for a Sous Chef on a temp to permanent basis in North West London for a Nursery Production Kitchen. Job Title: Experienced Sous Chef Location: Colindale, London Hours: 08:00-17:00 or 09:00-18:00 Monday to Friday Weekend Work: 1 weekend day per month (Saturday or Sunday) Salary: Competitive salary, based on experience Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic team, supporting ourcontract catering operation. This role is ideal for a confident culinary professional with a strong background in large-scale and/or school catering, who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations Lead food preparation and cooking, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with health and safety regulations Assist in menu development, including creating innovative, nutritious, and cost-effective dishes Supervise and train junior kitchen staff as needed Help manage kitchen stock, orders, and cost control Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment Some customer facing experience would be a bonus Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience in a similar Sous Chef role Proven experience in contract catering or large-scale catering environments School catering experience is highly desirable Full UK driving licence (travel between sites may be required) Strong understanding of food safety, allergens, and HACCP regulations Confident, professional, and able to liaise directly with clients on occasion Excellent time management and organisational skills Creative and capable of contributing to menu development What We Offer: Competitive salary Work-life balance with regular daytime hours Opportunity to work in a stable, growing catering business Supportive team environment with potential for career growth Access to training and development opportunities Salary: Once you are permanent, our client is offering £35,000 per annum AMRT1_UKCT
