Provision of SATCOM Technical Support Services • High school diploma or degree in electronics or a related network/communication field, with 10 years of experience • 5 years of experience as a satellite technician or in a similar role • Good knowledge of electronic and RF measurement instruments; proficiency with hand and power tools • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Desirable Qualifications/Experience: • Fluency in Italian language DUTIES/ROLE: Be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of satellite communication systems Complete installation and configuration of all satellite communication system elements Manage baseband elements: SATCOM modems, routers, switches, media converters, matrix switches, line amplifiers, and other active/passive components Handle RF elements: UP/Down Converters, amplifiers, LNAs, RF over Fiber converters, etc. Monitor and control systems: workstations, servers, gateways, DSPs, network and interface elements Manage software: Windows, Linux, Network IOS, proprietary monitoring/control systems, configurations Update and change hardware/software configurations on satellite station elements as required Set up satellite links, configure baseband and RF systems Apply software updates and patches as needed Install power/data and fiber optic cables, maintain and label as-built documents Support local Power technicians in installing and setting up power, heating, cooling, and ancillary systems Conduct regular maintenance inspections and preventive tasks for SATCOM, Power, HVAC, security, and ancillary systems Perform cleaning, greasing, measuring, adjusting, and troubleshooting of systems following specific procedures Assist power technicians with preventive maintenance tasks Diagnose and repair issues across all systems, replace faulty components, and update software accordingly J-18808-Ljbffr
