Responsibilities of the role : The Security Officer is responsible for all initiatives and daily tasks related to Loss Prevention, under the guidance of the Security Manager. The role involves safeguarding company assets, client goods, and ensuring compliance with security policies. The ideal candidate has proven experience in Loss Prevention, is data-driven, and works well within a team framework. Ensure comprehensive knowledge and adherence to Loss Prevention (LP) / Security policies, procedures, and standards. Detect and apprehend thieves following company protocols. Monitor potential employee theft suspicions and collaborate with stakeholders to address concerns. Prepare incident, accident, and investigation reports according to company guidelines. Assist management in investigating policy and procedure violations. Support initiatives to reduce shortages, including audits and inventory counts, and provide recommendations for security improvements. Maintain confidentiality regarding investigations and outcomes. Participate in special projects and events as assigned. Respond to alarm calls promptly to resolve issues. The role also involves supporting stakeholders in stock control and management. People Management Develop and implement training plans for security staff, suppliers, and GXO personnel based on their skills and abilities. Ensure all security team members understand and strive to meet objectives. Stock Management Follow Standard Operating Procedures and delivery/transfer protocols diligently. Routine Office Work Adhere to all security policies and procedures, and ensure proper use of CCTV, Intruder Alarm System, EAS Barriers, and other security systems. Requirements : Diploma or Degree. Minimum 5 years of experience in a structured multinational environment. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken. High standards of personal presentation, conduct, and behavior. Strong team player, proactive problem-solver, and effective communicator. Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and energetic attitude.
