Position Summary The Quality Assurance Clerk is responsible for executing quality control activities in the Quality Department, reviewing/processing of samples, and finishing product releases out of our West Nyack, NY facility. Essential Functions File various QC Documentation. Prepare, process and submit various samples (micro, analytical, PDS, customer, etc.) for testing and review to 3rd party contract laboratories, customer service, project managers, and clients. Use of SAP for specific functions to aid in day-to-day activities of the position. Read and comprehend QC inspection documents, customer/internal specifications/requirements to aid in sample submission & quality documentation preparation. Prepare/assemble batch records. Log samples and data into excel spreadsheets. Pull documentation or retains for review upon request Prepare retain samples for storage. Inform QC manager of customer’s rejections or quality complaints. Itemize & communicate deficiencies in records. Executes documentation as needed per customer requirements. Pull documentation or retains for review upon request. Interacts with other departments and customers as needed to perform job duties. Routing/tracking of documentation as needed. Log samples and data into excel spreadsheets. Query SAP for current and historical status of lots. Collect mail/email and file hard/electronic-copy reports received from 3rd party contractors/clients. Review product test results and execute Micro Exception requests. Create and issue COA/COM. Itemize & communicate deficiencies in records. Release of FG and WIPs. Interact with customer / external vendors (eg micro labs, etc.). Cross trained in QC Inspectors functions. Support test method development. Participates in investigations. Manage specific vendor/client relationship as relates to function. Document review in support of auditing activity. Other tasks as defined and assigned by supervisor/management. Job Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent GMP, GDP, and GLP knowledge preferred.
