Location: Brazil (Remote – International candidates welcome) Language Requirement: Excellent English (written and spoken) We’re Hiring: Data Modeler – Remote (Brazil or International) Contract: Indefinite About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced Data Modeler to support our Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) team in designing scalable, high-performing curated data assets on Google BigQuery . If you have strong data modeling expertise and a background in retail data, this is your chance to contribute to a global data transformation initiative. Key Responsibilities: Data Modeling & Optimization Design logical, conceptual, and physical data models in BigQuery Develop fact/dimension tables using Kimball methodology Optimize models for performance, scalability, and downstream analytics Data Governance & Standards Define data definitions, relationships, and business rules Align with enterprise standards and metadata policies Ensure integrity and consistency across curated datasets Collaboration Across Teams Partner with data engineers and architects on ETL/ELT pipeline design Work closely with BI teams to ensure model usability (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) Engage with business analysts to align data models with operational and strategic needs Required Qualifications: 5 years of experience in data modeling and architecture Expertise in BigQuery , SQL tuning, partitioning, clustering Strong understanding of retail data domains (sales, inventory, pricing, etc.) Proficient in dimensional modeling (Kimball) , normalization/denormalization Familiarity with metadata management, data catalogs, governance frameworks Strong communication skills to translate business needs into scalable models Preferred Experience: Retail or e-commerce background Familiarity with GCP tools (Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage) Experience with data lakehouse and event-driven architecture Exposure to BigQuery security best practices Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Information Technology Industries Textile Manufacturing J-18808-Ljbffr
