Job Description

Position The Head of Logistics & Compliance strategically oversees and manages warehousing, transportation, customs, product compliance, distribution to our regional warehouses and customer service B2B. She/He manages a team around 80 people in Italy. She/He is in permanent contact with Regions around the world for day-to-day activities and long-term distribution strategy. Managing budgetary considerations, She/He drives efficiency and effectiveness in operations. Optimizing carrying costs, she/he advices retail operations in their processes. She/He handles and chooses best 3PL around the world and manages contracts along with Legal Team and Procurement. Job Responsibilities Build and lead a high-performing logistics team, providing guidance, training, and enhancing individual and collective capabilities. Establish clear performance expectations and metrics for the logistics team, monitoring progress and providing feedback for continuous improvement, fostering collaboration and innovation. Develop and execute logistics strategies and initiatives in alignment with Maison’s goals to strive supply chain excellence and enhance customers satisfaction. Analyze and optimize logistics processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvement, analyzing trends, and generating reports for decision-making. Develop and manage the logistics budget and implement cost control measures to optimize logistics expenses while maintaining high levels of service quality. Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and other partners to negotiate contracts and agreements. Make sure that all goods are compliant with import and export regulations. A proven experience with Cites management would be a plus. Liaise with Customs authorities to manage logistical issues. Conduct regular inspections and audits, addressing any potential hazards or non-compliance issues promptly, and make sure all international regulations are respected. Adhere to and enforce safety and compliance standards, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for all team members. Run meetings to keep logistics managers of the regions updated. Keep up with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Profile At least a 10-year experience in logistics Proven experience in leadership roles along with management skills Excellent knowledge of English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of other languages is a plus. Planning, organization, and time management skills. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. J-18808-Ljbffr
