Travel Nurse Across America Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Fremont, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/14/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel 36 hrs a week. Every other weekend. Need STRONG ICU & Med/Surg RN. Strongly prefer Cerner experience. Nurse to patient ratio 1:4-5 on medical/surgical. 13 wk contract. •Will accept LOCAL Placements •LOCAL adjusted bill rate: $95 •LOCAL adjusted OT rate: $105 Unit Med-Surg ICU Beds 32 bed – 8 of which are ICU Nurse:Patient Ratios Med surg 1:4 days, 1:5 nights, ICU 1:2, PINS 1:3 Required certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS,ACLS, NIHSS Common diagnoses/Types of patients CHF, COPD, Pneumonia, Diabetes, DKA, Weakness, Falls, Experience or 'Must have' skills Are RNs required to titrate drips? ICU: Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? Teletech: Yes 24/7, overread on strips: yes, but charge RNs can also do this Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge nurse: usually have 2, always have 1. House supervisor 7p-7a, South charge nurse is not taking patients, North charge nurse may take if necessary to maintain our nurse/patient ratios. Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Yes, 1 tech to 2 RNs generally, days also has a mobility aide when staffing allows. Also staff Student Nurse Techs occasionally which helps pass meds, dressing changes, etc. RT Equipment (i.e., Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, vents, etc.) Yes Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) We schedule travelers to fill holes on the schedule, but work with you to ensure the schedule is what works, we have some that do block scheduling, we will work with you. Weekend Requirement Yes Holiday Requirement Yes Is there Call or a Standby requirement? No, we generally do not put travelers on call Floating Requirements? no Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided?
