Job Description
Reports to: Glass- Installation Foreman Position Summary: Ensure all products meet or exceed GANA specifications and customer quality expectations. Pillars: 1) Safety, 2) Quality, 3) Happiness, 4) Performance Responsibilities and Areas of Accountability: Assist in leading an installation crew. Accurately install architectural aluminum storefront, curtainwall, and misc. glazing systems Accurately install architectural aluminum doors and door hardware. Support rigorous training and cross-training of employees. Communicate with crew effectively and respectfully. Produce & promote quality at the source following strict architectural glazing quality standards. Maintain tools and machinery on your Jobsite and notify foreman when necessary. Ensure jobsite and work area are both clean and safe at all times. Flex into a fabrication position as needed, possibly for long durations. Provide strong leadership to installation team. Understand and own project installation including flashing and sealant details along with door hardware details. Demonstrate reliability through exceptional attendance. Promote the company's Safety Program and ensure that installation employees adhere to all existing safety procedures. Supervise crew in a manner that focuses on increasing productivity and lowering material and equipment cost while maintaining expected levels of quality. Demonstrate ambition to develop personal skills for further advancement. Identify, understand, and report safety hazards and unsafe actions immediately. Proactively participate in safety programs and training. Understand & abide by company policies relative to written Safety Program. Focus on developing and implementing strict quality standards required for architectural aluminum and glazing. Strive for zero quality non-conformances. If quality error occurs, assist in determining the root cause and ensure that root cause is eliminated to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with management, production, quality control, and other support departments. Leads a crew. Ensures employees' performance and attendance is monitored and reported as necessary. Requirements Knowledge & Skills: Proven leadership skills. Experience with architectural storefront and curtainwall required. Strong attention to detail. Valid drivers license Ability to read and accurately interpret architectural drawings. Ability to a operate variouis construction equipemet including boom lifts, scissor lifts, and rough terrain forklifts. Regularly required stand, push, pull, and kneel for extended periods Regularly required to lift up to 75 lbs.
