Position Overview: Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Duration: Summer and Next School Year Caseload: K-12 (multiple sites, used as a sub for school nurse coverage and/or additional support if no one is out) Work Setting: School-based, working closely with students, staff, and families Key Responsibilities: Provide direct healthcare services to students, including assessments, first aid, and medication administration Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) for students with medical conditions Monitor and manage chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, and seizures within the school setting Educate students, staff, and families on health and wellness best practices Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and special education staff to support student needs Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and district regulations Assist with health screenings, immunization tracking, and disease prevention efforts Qualifications: Active Certified School Nurse (CSN) certification in Alabama (required) Bachelors or Associate degree in Nursing (BSN or ADN) (required) CPR and First Aid certification (required) School nursing experience preferred but not required Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Why Join ProCare Therapy?
