Senior Technical Manager

We are working with one of the Uks leading suppliers of fresh produce as they look to recruit a Senior Technical Manager to join their team. In addition to salary of £60,000 pa you will receive a yearly discretionary bonus, private healthcare, group pension, 25 days holiday and life insurance. As Senior Technical Manager you will: Be responsible for ensuring supplier due diligence management for the global supply base Have overall responsibility for implementing residue analysis programmes Have overall responsibility for ensuring the supplier auditing programme is undertaken in line with risk assessments and customer requirements Work with suppliers on quality issues and new product development / variety development Develop Cl plans with suppliers and retailers through supplier scorecards and work with PAS suppliers to meet retailer requirements Maintain pesticide approvals with retailers through Food Experts, Audax, GLSA and retailers Support on customer visits within the supply base or site Lead the retailer engagement with major customers with support provided to Customer Facing Technologist Lead the Technical function in a pragmatic and efficient manner with responsibility for leading the Quality and Print room teams We are keen to speak to people about this Senior Technical Manager opportunity with the following skills and experience: Demonstrable technical experience in fresh produce Agri-food / Food science degree Strong experience of supplier due diligence, supply chain auditing & management, ethical and sustainability Experience of retail platforms such as Sedex, Muddy Boots, FoodExperts Working experience with customer portals Must be able to travel globally when required If you are a leader as well as a technical team member who is proactive and has meticulous attention to detail, wed love to hear from you.
