F&I Manager

The F&I Manager at our client is responsible for overseeing all finance and insurance operations within the dealership. This includes securing vehicle financing, offering insurance products, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and maximizing profitability through value-added services. The role involves negotiating with financial institutions, preparing accurate sales contracts, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process. F&I Manager Duties & Responsibilities Finance Arrangements : Secure financing options for customers through various banks and finance houses. Insurance Sales : Offer and explain value-added insurance products such as credit life, mechanical warranties, and service plans. Compliance & Documentation : Ensure all deals comply with NCA (National Credit Act), FICA, FAIS, and other regulatory requirements. Verify documentation accuracy and customer identity. Customer Service : Guide customers through the financial process clearly and professionally. Build trust and explain financial obligations and contract terms. Profitability : Maximize dealership profitability through up-selling of approved value-added products. Relationship Management : Maintain strong relationships with banks, underwriters, and finance institutions to secure competitive rates and approvals. Contract Management : Finalize vehicle sales agreements and ensure timely submissions of applications and payouts. Reporting : Prepare daily and monthly finance/insurance sales reports for management. Requirements & Qualifications Education : Matric certificate (essential); Finance, Business, or related tertiary qualification (advantageous). Experience : Minimum of 25 years' experience in a similar F&I role at a franchised motor dealership. Certification : Valid NCA, RE5, and FAIS accreditation (essential). Registered with FSCA as a Representative. CPD-compliant. Skills : Strong negotiation and closing skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. High attention to detail and ethical integrity. Ability to work under pressure and meet monthly targets. Technical Proficiency : Knowledge of motor industry finance software (e.g., Signio, Seriti). Computer literate in MS Office Suite.
