My client in the Retail / Warehousing / Distribution industry is seeking a Financial Manager to manage the Financial Operations of the business. Are you hands on, don't mind getting your hands dirty and are you a complete fundi in managing the full financial function in a warehousing environment. Broad, hands-on role managing full financial operations Fast-paced warehousing and retail environment Entrepreneurial company with ambitious future growth plans Strong opportunity for career progression into senior leadership What you will be doing: Daily: Reconcile debtors and online payment platforms Process purchase invoices from ERPLY to Xero Maintain daily bookkeeping to trial balance Reconcile banking and cash-up reports (incl. retail outlets) Analyse daily sales and POS discounts; report anomalies Manage GRV schedules and validate against supplier statements Handle forex documentation and bank release procedures Weekly: Reconcile bank, loan, and creditor accounts (including forex) Review exception reports and flag GP% variances Spot-check ERPLY inputs and validate pricing accuracy Monthly: Maintain and process monthly payment schedules Handle payroll and SARS PAYE submissions Manage intercompany and credit card reconciliations Prepare and analyse management accounts and variances Conduct VAT calculations, submissions, reviews, and audits Perform cash flow management and budget control Finalise sales rep commissions and royalty calculations Monitor expense anomalies and ensure asset insurance compliance Annual: Prepare budgets and manage variances Liaise with auditors for year-end AFS and CIPC submissions Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation journals Ensure SARB compliance and regulatory updates General: Review contracts to ensure financial processes align with terms Provide financial reports to banking partners as required Develop financial workflows and time management plans What we are looking for: Relevant financial qualification (minimum 5 years' experience) Background in Warehousing, Retail, Imports & Exports SAICA or SAIPA Articles (advantageous) Strong Xero and VAT knowledge Proactive, hands-on individual who works well with all teams Why you should apply: Clear path to senior management Work closely with executive team Make a direct impact on business decisions and performance Office-based role in Maitland, ideal for candidates in Southern Suburbs or surrounds Please note if you haven't heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, unfortunately your application has not been successful this time.
