BI Developer

This role plays a key part in shaping our client's data departments strategic operating model. You must demonstrate strong technical skills and be responsible for end-to-end design and implementation within the business-wide Datawarehouse solution, from requirements gathering and analysis, ETL design and development, Datawarehouse design and build, and Power BI Dashboard/Reporting. Duties · Manage and deliver ETL development using SSIS, in accordance with relevant processes and quality requirements · Develop, implement and optimise SQL queries, procedures, functions, views, triggers · Test, deploy and maintain SQL projects and fixes in line with best practice · Follow departmental development lifecycle and release process for production implementations and fixes · Produce reports and dashboards using Power BI, reviewing and validating data to ensure reports and dashboards are accurate · Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs or available data elements, providing consultation to users and leading cross-functional teams to address business issues · Drive continuous improvement · Support business users in adopting and engaging with data department · 3 years experience as SQL Developer or similar role · Excellent understanding of ETL concepts, Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL programming · Experience in developing visualisations using Power BI · Demonstrable understanding of the concepts for designing and implementing data warehouse solutions · Critical thinker with problem-solving skills · Experience with cloud technologies and data science approaches would be advantageous. · Contact centre experience preferred.
