Overview: Part Time Radiology Technologist are eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 (Full-Time New Hire). If you're seeking a healthcare career that's both in demand and rewarding, being a Radiology Technologist is ideal ️ Your Mission: The Radiologic Technologist II Acute works independently and/or assists physicians/APCs in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the x-ray equipment in order to obtain diagnostic images in the acute setting. The technologist is responsible for inpatient & outpatient procedures, the emergency room, fluoroscopy, portables, and the operating rooms. What You’ll Do: Performing Imaging Procedures: Operating medical imaging equipment to capture images of patients' bodies. Patient Care: Preparing patients for procedures by explaining the process, addressing concerns, taking medical histories, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during the exam. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Adjusting and maintaining imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and equipment functionality. Image Evaluation: Reviewing images to ensure clarity and accuracy before submitting them to radiologists for interpretation. Radiation Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and using protective measures (like lead aprons and shielding) to minimize radiation exposure for themselves and patients. Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed patient records, including exam details, images, and any relevant information. What We’re Looking For: Education : Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program. Certification required within 6 months of hire post-graduation from an accredited Radiology Program, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Experience : Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic radiology, preferred. Licensure/Certification : ARRT certification in Radiography - RT(R), required. Applicable state licensure as required, required. Post-graduates from an accredited Radiology Program with be required to pass their ARRT registry within 6 months of completing program, required. Additional Skills/Requirements (required) : Applies principles of ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patient, self, and others. Demonstrates current knowledge of federal and state radiation safety laws. Properly utilizes personnel monitoring devices. Ensures proper equipment performance and schedules maintenance for emergent needs. Properly operates radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Independently performs radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures, including intraoperative and mobile procedures, as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Assists a licensed practitioner in the performance of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, including all intraoperative and mobile procedures including the following: ERCP’s, bronchoscopy, mini-c-arms, post reductions. Mobile imaging including lines and pacers and neonates.
