Pay Information $1,765 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg/Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 18 months of Med/Tele experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation - Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone) - General medical/surgical skill set Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Tele. The unit consists of 32 beds with an average census of 32. Patient types include stroke, seizure, altered mental status, generalized weakness, acute kidney injury/chronic kidney disease, falls, cellulitis, and non-healing wounds. The patient ratio is 1:5-6 for days and nights. Support staff within the department include CNAs, a receptionist, charge nurse, phlebotomy team, IV/VAT team, dedicated pharmacist, case managers, a nurse educator, hospitalists, and APP support. There is no remote tele-monitoring; unit staff are responsible for monitoring and posting every shift. Technological equipment includes EMR and IV pumps with relevant communication tools. Floating is required as per regional needs but will be limited to within the scope of practice. A weekend rotation is expected, with travelers working 75% of holidays. Requests for time off can be approved for up to 6 days, excluding holidays.
