We are creating a 130,000 sqm state-of-the-art, fully automated warehouse that will handle logistics services for our client adidas and serve 19 countries across Eastern and Southern Europe. Your Role The Contract Logistics Distribution Manager will operate within Contract Logistics at the Mantua warehouse, which is a fully automated facility of over 130,000 square meters. The role involves managing the scheduling and organization of trucks for inbound and outbound logistics, collaborating with the Customer Service team, Flow Planners, and Operations to ensure smooth transportation services. The manager will interact with customers to align transportation strategies and ensure efficient workflow. Your Responsibilities Plan daily deliveries in collaboration with flow planning stakeholders using TMS/OTM systems. Maintain continuous communication with the customer regarding shipment status, delays, and planning. Coordinate with Operations regarding workflow status, issues, and delays, adjusting schedules as needed. Supervise transport service performance using statistical and metric approaches, developing strategies to prevent delays. Implement actions to resolve transportation issues affecting warehouse workflow. Build strong relationships with transport carriers through daily interaction and communication. Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate transportation data effectively to stakeholders. Lead by embodying company values, inspiring your team, and promoting a positive work environment. Your Skills and Experiences 5-8 years of transport planning experience in large-scale, highly automated fulfillment operations, preferably in eCommerce, Fashion, or Retail sectors within multinational companies. People management experience in transport-related roles, with a focus on integration with customer service and operations. Experience working in fast-paced environments with high planning variability and frequent external stakeholder interactions. Familiarity with data dashboards and communication tools for effective stakeholder reporting. Knowledge of metrics and data analysis related to transport planning, with experience using ERPs/TMSs.
