Job Description
Key responsibilities: Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standard in the hot kitchen section Maintain consistency and quality across all hot food items Assist in menu planning and development with a focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients Supervise junior kitchen staff and maintain kitchen discipline Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards Work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to maintain smooth kitchen operations Requirements: Formal culinary qualification (e.g., Culinary Arts Diploma or equivalent) Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role in a luxury lodge, hotel, or fine dining environment Strong knowledge of hot kitchen techniques and plating standards Passion for bush cuisine with a modern twist Excellent communication and leadership skills Willingness to live and work in a remote bush environment on a scheduled rotation
