Lead Industrial Product Designer – Lighting & Prototyping (Full-time, Delhi NCR)

Sketch Lighting – A fast-growing bespoke lighting design studio shaping India's interiors with custom-made lighting that blends design and purpose. Location: South Delhi (new studio space coming up soon) Coordination with our Faridabad workshop team ‍ Direct reporting to Principal & Founder About the Role: We're looking for a hands-on, creative, and self-driven Industrial Product Designer to join our core team. This is not just a design job—it’s an opportunity to build products that define a brand , lead a team , and see your concepts come alive in homes, offices, hotels, museums, and retail spaces across India. You will work directly with our founder and sales team in Delhi and lead the coordination with diploma designers and the prototyping team at our Faridabad workshop. What You'll Do: Design innovative, manufacturable lighting products —both project-specific and original IPs for online/retail sales Create concept sketches, 3D models, renders, part drawings, and BOMs Lead and mentor junior diploma designers at the workshop Ensure timely prototyping and smooth transition to production Coordinate with vendors and understand various fabrication processes (metal, glass, plastic, etc.) Stay updated on trends and bring new creative ideas to life for Indian market needs Build a portfolio of exclusive products that reflect Sketch Lighting’s design DNA You Should Have: 3–6 years’ experience in product/industrial design (lighting, furniture, or home décor preferred) Strong skills in SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, KeyShot , Adobe Suite Practical knowledge of materials & manufacturing (especially sheets, metal, wood, casting, 3D printing) A portfolio that shows both creativity and technical depth (including real prototypes, not just renders) Experience guiding junior designers or small teams (a big plus) Ability to work in a startup-like environment: resourceful, fast, flexible Bonus: If you’ve developed products for mass market or e-commerce (or want to) What We Offer: A creative, high-trust workspace with the freedom to lead your ideas A chance to build your design legacy within a growing brand Monthly salary (negotiable depending on experience) Additional performance bonuses & possible royalties on exclusive product lines A long-term growth path toward becoming Head of Design Sound like you?
