Assistant Construction Manager Job Description Join our dynamic team and take charge of managing food facility construction projects ranging from $5 million to $80 million. This role involves working closely with clients, architects, estimating engineers, and superintendents to oversee projects from pre-construction to close out. Your expertise will contribute to our reputation for excellence and help maintain strong relationships with repeat customers. This position requires travel up to 100% of the time for the first few years as you administer, estimate, control costs, and manage high-profile food industry projects. Responsibilities * Administer and control project costs effectively. * Manage high-profile food industry construction projects. * Take projects from pre-construction through to project close out. * Coordinate with subcontractors and set project schedules. * Attend construction meetings and review payment requests. * Ensure adherence to construction project schedules. * Manage change orders and daily logs. * Oversee construction document management and job cost analysis. * Execute punch list management. Essential Skills * Strong background in construction management and project engineering. * Experience in project management within the construction industry. * Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore or Timberline. * Excellent skills in change order management and job cost analysis. * Ability to adhere to project schedules and manage daily logs. * Safety training knowledge and practice. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field. * 0-2 years of experience as a Project Manager on construction projects. * Experience with food-related construction projects is advantageous. * EIT license is a plus. * Ability to travel extensively for up to two years. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $95000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
