Under the supervision of both the Trades Supervisor and the Director of Facilities Management, the Master Plumber performs skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of boilers, heating and water piping, traps, valves, drains, sprinklers, radiators and sewage systems to maintain CSC facilities in proper working condition. The master plumber will help supervise and oversee contractors and interact heavily with all trades personnel as well as the project manager. The position is required to participate in snow removal operations as well as in other maintenance capacities. Responsibilities * Supervise, maintain, install and troubleshoot plumbing systems at the college. Inspect and certify that all work complies with state and local codes. * Work on plumbing related issues and equipment throughout the campus. Heavily interact with Trades Supervisor and Director of Facilities on projects and resolving any problems. Plan estimate and commission new installations or renovations of plumbing needs and equipment. * Work with sub-contractors on major upgrades, repairs, renovations and office reconfigurations while maintaining health and safety standards as well as code compliance. * Assist in training new personnel as well as support other team members with completion of work orders as necessary. * Work with snow crew in the winter, plowing with CSC equipment, shoveling and salting walkways and clearing roofs/roof scuppers. * Work, troubleshoot and complete other work-related issues in Facilities Management. * Complete all assigned Facilities Management work orders and preventative maintenance work orders in a timely and accurate manner regardles of the task assigned. Qualifications * NH Master Plumber's license and NH Gas License is required. * Minimum of 3 years' experience as Master Plumber in commercial environment. * Must have valid NH driver's license. Physical Requirements * 75 pounds maximum lifting; 30-pound maximum lifting and carrying frequently; standing or walking frequently. * Exterior maintenance and roof work, occasionally using a lift. Interior work necessary in crawl spaces, tight areas to access plumbing systems. * Ladder work is essential, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending and turning.
