Package Description: Support Worker Location: Clevedon Salary: £12.81 – £13.08 £60 per sleep-in shift Hours: Flexible shifts on a 24/7 rota ( planned in advance ) About the role As a children’s support worker, you’ll be flexible to support across the week including weekends and nights. You will be supporting children between the ages of 5 – 18 so will need support before after school and in the school holidays . Lots of fun and engaging activities are planned such as going to parks, BBQs, beach days and swimming as well as in house activities such as messy play and arts and crafts . You would also be supporting independent skills such as preparing meals drinks and washing dishes. You’ll support with day-to-day activities like shopping, cooking, and managing health needs—always led by the person’s own preferences and goals. You’ll also support with personal care . This means helping people with washing, dressing, and other essential personal routines. It’s a vital part of enabling people to live with dignity, choice, and independence. Personal care is always delivered in a respectful and person-centred way, in line with each individual's needs and preferences. No two days are the same, and every day brings the opportunity to be part of someone’s progress and independence.
