Painter and Decorator

Our client is a large local government organisation and looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join their team. This is initially a 3 month contract which may be extended for the right candidate You will Responsible for providing quality painting & decorating work as required within the maintenance team. Provide good customer service in order to meet the businesses Key Performance Indicators Key Accountabilities To be able to carry out painting & decorating work to a good standard, and to include but not limited to: Artexing Coving Remove and refit fixtures and fittings Make good tiling General Preparation work, filling Wallpapering General Painting Glosswork/Staining To undertake on site risk assessments and identify any potential hazards and inform your line manager if required. Expertise Painting & Decorating Qualification NVQ or equivalent or demonstrate previous significant experience in painting & decorating. Ability to work within manufacturers requirements and Industry British Standards. Ability to diagnose and undertake repair works to domestic properties including specifying materials required and the ability to undertake works in accordance with training and good industry practice. Work within known deadlines Competent in the use of smart phone technology and PDAs, including the ability to send and receive email, calendar appointments, documents, photographs and for work scheduling purposes.
