One to one tutor

Are you a passionate, qualified teacher looking to make a real difference? We're seeking a dedicated QTS Tutor to join our growing team in Peterborough , supporting pupils in need of tailored, one-to-one or small group tuition outside of mainstream education. About the Role: As a QTS Tutor, you'll work with students across Key Stages 1-4, helping them to re-engage with their learning and achieve their full potential. This may include working with pupils with SEN, EHCPs, or those requiring catch-up support. Sessions typically take place in local centres, schools, or at students' homes, with some remote options available. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality, personalised lessons in line with the National Curriculum Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly Maintain clear and accurate records of tutoring sessions Build strong, supportive relationships with students and their families Liaise with schools and education professionals when needed Contract/Position Details: Location - Peterborough Position - One to one tutor Type of work - Contract Start date - ASAP Duration / Likely Duration - Until sufficient progression is made End date (if applicable) - N/A Contract type - Temporary Full-time/part-time - Part time (dependent on pupils needs) Minimum rate of pay - £25 per hour Hours - Timetable can vary dependent on pupil availability Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Tutor: QTS or equivalent A minimum of 1 year UK classroom experience Be confident teaching GCSE classes online Provide a firm but fair approach Have recent safeguarding training or willing to undergo Prospero's course To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Tutor must: Hold the right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references.
