Over de functie You primarily collect commercial waste, old paper, and cardboard from customers such as supermarkets, offices, bakeries, and campsites. The routes vary daily but always remain within your region. Together with your colleague, you ensure that the waste is collected efficiently and responsibly and recycled properly. You regularly interact with customers and enjoy chatting with them. Thanks to your good knowledge of the routes, you know exactly where the containers are located. Although you work independently, you are always together with your colleague on the truck. What does your workday look like? Start your day with a cup of coffee and discuss the route with your colleague and the planner Quickly inspect the truck and depart for the first stop Empty the waste containers into the compactor truck during the route Alternate driving and loading duties with your colleague Deliver the waste to a depot or processing facility at scheduled times Check at the end of your route if your colleagues need any assistance Return to the depot in Amsterdam and finish your workday You usually start between 6:30 and 7:00 AM and, depending on the route, return between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. You work Monday through Friday, so you can enjoy your weekends off.
