Bar Manager

Join to apply for the Bar Manager role at Hyatt Regency We are looking for a motivated Bar Manager to join our pre-opening team. The role reports to the Director of Food & Beverage. The Hyatt Regency Rome Central, located near Rome Termini Station and the Colosseum, is a contemporary 5-star hotel with 238 rooms, offering premium business services and a rooftop leisure experience. The hotel features a SPA, five F&B outlets, and over 1000 sqm of event spaces. Main Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily operations across all bar outlets. Be present on the floor during peak times to support and guide the team. Enforce SOPs and P&Ps for drink preparation, service, and cleanliness. Design and update beverage menus aligned with brand identity, seasonality, and guest preferences. Create recipe cards with specifications and cost analysis. Support beverage menu development for restaurant, IRD, banquets, and events. Stay updated with market trends and translate them into practical offerings. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager on food and beverage pairing concepts. Lead menu engineering, pricing, and margin optimization. Promote service excellence and personalized guest interactions. Handle guest feedback effectively, providing recovery and follow-up. Create an engaging and welcoming bar atmosphere. Hire, train, and coach team members; conduct performance evaluations. Organize training sessions, including tastings and workshops. Motivate the team through clear communication and role modeling. Ensure health, safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards are met. Conduct monthly beverage inventories with the Restaurant Manager. Skills and Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within upscale or luxury hotels. Fluent in Italian and English, both spoken and written. Strong background in mixology and beverage operations. Excellent leadership and team-building skills. Knowledge of cost control, beverage engineering, market trends, and premium brands. Proficiency with Simphony POS system. Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25kg.
